I borrowed the “Windowsill Garden: Grow Some Microgreens” kit from the library and wanted to share some pictures of what I grew. Thanks to Amadee and the Cochise County Library District for making this resource available!

Libraries around Cochise County have been hosting Photo Challenge events. Here are some pictures of the events… And some pictures that youth photographers took during the events.

Patrons at the Huachuca City Library had a tie dye party last week as a part of the CCLD Creativity in a Box project.

A group of kids from the Apache School visited the Portal Library to explore where food comes from. As a part of their activities, they grew, harvested, and ate microgreens.

At a cardmaking workshop in Portal this week, participants made these lovely spring cards!

The Huachuca City Library has an Electronics Club for kids, and they made buttons for members. The Button Making kit is now available for checkout at this library, as well as many other libraries in the county.

A presentation about this project was recently made for the “Big Talk From Small Libraries” conference.

Folks at the Elfrida Library used the Papercrafts kit to make these fun cards!  

As a part of this project, our community has begun collecting oral histories in both audio and video format. Here is what we’ve collected so far.  Check back as we add more.

This week adults and kids participated in  a marshmallow challenge in Elfrida. This creativity exercise has been done nationwide with school children, as well as Fortune 500 business executives.
